HOOPS FOR HOPE

On an ordinary day in 2009, a simple idea took root: what if we could make a difference through basketball? That small thought has since grown into something extraordinary. Today, Hoops for HOPE has raised over $1 million for HOPE Worldwide, bringing real healing and hope to those who need it most.

That first million has already gone far. It has supported free medical care for the poor and needy in Cambodia through hospitals in Phnom Penh and Kampot, Cambodia. The hospitals in these areas have treated over a million patients, trained local doctors and nurses, and become beacons of hope in communities still recovering from the Khmer Rouge genocide.

Now we’re bringing that same spirit of hope closer to home. Going forward, we’re proud to partner with the Boston Teen Police Academy (BTPA) - a program dedicated to building trust, opportunity, and leadership for Boston’s youth. BTPA connects teens with mentors, teaches life skills, and fosters positive relationships between young people and law enforcement.

Hitting the $1 million mark isn’t the finish line, it’s proof of what’s possible when people come together for something bigger than themselves. As we continue this mission, every dollar raised will help build safer, stronger, and more hopeful communities both abroad and right here in Boston.
